Sass & Edge opened last August in Winchester. Sally & Rachel have a love of fashion that goes back to their early days, so it’s really fitting that they’ve now opened an exciting independent boutique together.
We chatted to them to find out a bit more about the ladies behind Sass & Edge...
How did you get into fashion?
S: I have always loved fashion from an early age. I used to design the clothes that I wanted and my mum would make them for me! I get my love of shopping from my Grandma; she was the original shopaholic!
R: From an early age, I always loved the way that clothing can change how you feel.
What makes you happy?
S: Spending time with my gorgeous family and my grandson Max. I love eating out and of course… shopping!
R: My family.
What does your typical weekend consist of?
Mostly working but on the odd weekends off we love to cook, eat, drink and shop!
What does ‘being comfortable’ mean to you?
Feeling good in the clothes we wear and creating our own style that suits us as individuals, not just copying the latest trend.
What makes Sass & Edge brilliant?
We aim to give all our customers the best experience and honest advice. There is always a fun vibe in store which creates energy.
If you weren’t running Sass & Edge what would you like to have done with your career? What would be your Plan B?
This is what we have both dreamed of and worked for all our lives. We both left other careers to do this… there is no plan B!
What would your ideal shoe look like? And where would you wear it?
S: High Black leather pump and I would wear them everywhere!
R: It depends on the day.. but they all have to be a platform to help with my lack of height!!
What did you want to be when you were little?
Sally: I wanted to be a Teacher.
Rachel: I wanted to be a Dentist!
S: Multi Glitter Copeland Sneakers
R: Gold Leopard Bounden Sneakers
