Sarah is the owner of What Sarah did... a fashion and lifestyle boutique in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Offering a stylish collection of contemporary apparel and accessories.
We chatted with Sarah to find out a bit more about her...
What did you want to be when you were little?
When I was little I wanted to be a visual merchandiser in all the top stores around the world, and a stylist!
What makes you happy?
Seeing someone genuinely feeling good from the inside out makes me happy. Spending time with my friends and family makes my heart burst & my job, I love my job! Instilling confidence via my styling makes my tummy flip with happiness.
What does your typical weekend consist of?
My weekend starts and ends on a Sunday as I work Saturday in store. Sunday is a long dog walk, time with my husband & boys... Oh & the usual social media, admin & running of my little store followed by a roast & a good drama on the TV! Rock & roll!
What makes What Sarah did brilliant?
I think that my choice of brands (mostly independent brands at that), the ethos & belief behind my styling & love of my job makes What Sarah did brilliant.
So I’m told anyway!
If you weren’t running What Sarah did what would you like to have done with your career? What would be your Plan B?
If I hadn’t opened WSd, I would have carried with my styling or worked with brands to champion them, maybe as a sales agent or ambassador of some sort. I love to scream from the rooftops about brands I really believe in...
Hence why I love A&G so much & am very pleased to be a one to showcase in my store!
What does ‘being comfortable’ mean to you?
“Being comfortable” to me means being happy in your skin & the best you can be in every level. Not to force anything.
What would your ideal shoe look like? And where would you wear it?
My ideal shoe is a light, comfortable trainer, believe it or not! I have arthritis & struggle with pain on a daily basis. Couple that with being a non driver, I’m a walker... A&G have changed my life. Fact!
What’s your favourite Air & Grace style?
My fave style is Cru or Flutter. I thought I was a Copeland girl... but I do love the versatility of the Cru!
