What did you want to be when you were little?
When I was little I wanted to be a ballet dancer.
What makes you happy?
Hanging out with my family makes me happy.
What does your typical weekend consist of?
My typical weekend usually starts with a beer on Friday night. I work in the shop on Saturdays, there is always a good weekend vibe and I love being on the shop floor. When I finish I am usually rushing to get back to see what mischief my husband and kids have been up to in my absence.
Sundays are currently absorbed with ferrying various children to parties/clubs and squeezing in some work on our new house. I always try to cook a roast and make sure we all sit down together as the rest of the week is so busy and dinners are generally a bit rushed.
How did you get into fashion?
I have always loved fashion, I remember my mum calling me when the Clothes Show had started on tv each week as i hated to miss even a moment of it. I saved up my pocket money so that i could buy Vogue. Fashion has always interested me.
What makes 32 The Guild brilliant?
32 The Guild is brilliant because this dream that I have had buzzing around in my head is an actual successful thing! The curation of things that I love seem to be working and five years on we have the most amazing customers both instore and online and the business continues to grow and evolve.
If you weren’t running 32 The Guild what would you like to have done with your career? What would be your Plan B?
I was a footwear designer prior to opening 32 so really my plan B would be to go back into design.
What does ‘being comfortable’ mean to you?
Being comfortable automatically makes me think of my feet!! If your shoes are uncomfortable there is absolutely nothing worse, I think it shows on your face. Therefore being comfortable means comfy shoes to me.
What would your ideal shoe look like? And where would you wear it?
My ideal shoe would be incredibly, impractically high and supremely comfy. Sadly this combination has evaded me (and I wear sneakers all the time) however if it existed i would wear it everywhere!!
What’s your favourite Air & Grace style?
My favourite Air and Grace style is the Souk, I love that it is a bit bonkers and that it is soooo comfy.
